Richard has been a “serial” entrepreneur all of his working life. He grew up working in his Dad’s Service Station Business where he had a first hand look at all aspects of running a successful Business. It was in these early years he learned the value and importance of providing exceptional customer service. He started his first Business at the age of 21 and hasn't looked back. His Business career has focused primarily in the areas of sales, marketing and franchise development, where he consistently received numerous top production awards. Richard developed his own franchise concept in the early 80’s and that business still thrives today after more than 25 years in operation.
Richard is an entertaining speaker and has developed, trained and motivated large Direct sales organizations on everything from Business basics to personal development. He has also sat on a number of advisory boards with various organizations and companies.
One of his favorite quotes is: “It’s not what happens to people that’s important, it’s what they do about it”.
The progressions of his career were natural to coach and mentor others in Business and to pursue his passion of helping others succeed, no matter what the venture. One of Richard’s goals is to develop affordable coaching programs and tools that are accessible to a variety of Business owners to dramatically increase their chances to own their market.
Richard is also active in his community as a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and past president of a chapter of Business Network International (BNI). He works with “Young Life” in Victoria, B.C., is a Board member of his Church and has volunteered for “Junior Achievement” by teaching various business programs in elementary and high schools.
Richard has lived on Vancouver Island in Victoria for close to 40 years and when he's not Coaching Clients he can be found on the golf course or spending time with his wife Kerry and eighteen year old son Spencer.
